Beyonce's Blingy New Baby Bump

Beyonce's red carpet jewelry often steals the spotlight - especially when she brings out her best Lorraine Schwartz show-stoppers like she did at last night's MTV Video Music Awards. BUT...

It appears there is one accessory that trumps them all. A burgeouning blingy baby bump!

What better way to share the happy news than with a stunning off-the-shoulder Lanvin number and more emeralds and diamonds than any mere mortal has a right to wear at once! How much do you LOVE that emerald circle ring, jewelry hounds!?!

While metallic minis, bold cuffs, cocktail rings, parasols and um....snakes....were the other accessory trends of the night, you have to give it up for the divine Miss Sasha Fierce for making sure nothing could possibly upstage her big blingy reveal.

Except....maybe.....this....

Stay tuned this week on Jewelry.com where I'll be bringing you the hottest VMA jewelry moments in affordable looks you can bring home to your own jewelry box - or wear while framing a baby bump.

Kim Kardashian's Wedding Ring Bling

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries finally tied the knot yesterday at a private estate in Montecito, California - and while pictures of the Kardashian wedding gown by Vera Wang and wedding ring by Lorraine Schwartz are closely guarded by People  - the details (gasp!) have leaked and I've got 'em all right here for you.

Read 'em and weep, jewelry hounds!

Kim Kardashian's Wedding Dress

The reality star diva wore a strapless ivory Vera Wang gown with tulle skirt, basque waist and Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and “epic” train. She wore her hair up with a veil that had a headpiece bedazzled with diamonds that rested on her forehead. Her bouquet was white roses.

Kim had another TWO dresses for later in the evening, both in ivory and by Vera Wang along with a Judith Leiber clutch. One was a Georgette mermaid gown with Chantilly lace appliqué plus organza petals and sprig embroidery. One was in satin with a crepe-back, a V-neck and a circle skirt.
The groom wore an outfit by Ermenegildo Zegna, which included a white tuxedo jacket and shirt with white bow tie and black tuxedo trousers. He changed into an outfit to match his groomsmen at the reception.

The groomsmen and the bride and groom’s fathers, Bruce Jenner and William Humphries, wore Zegna black tuxedos and silk ties with white tuxedo shirts.

The bridesmaids and maids of honor all wore ivory and changed into matching white tracksuits at the reception.

Kim Kardashian's Wedding Ring

Kim's favorite jewelry designer, Lorraine Schwartz, designed the wedding rings that made their appearance in a pink box, according to entertainmentwise.com. While details of the carat count are still pending - why don't we all just gasp again at the $2 million engagement ring that will be its blingy partner for life (also by Lorraine Schwartz).

Sigh....

The Wedding Party/Guests

Kourtney and Khloe were Kim’s co-maids of honor. Kendall, Kylie and Kris’ sister Kaela were bridesmaids. Kim's nephew, Mason, was the ring bearer and her stepfather Bruce Jenner walked her down the aisle.

Mom, Kris, was lowered from the ceiling into a bubbling glass of champagne, wearing nothing but hundred dollar bills and a four-year contract from Ryan Seacrest....

The eclectic guest list included a who's who of D-listers and reality darlings including - Demi Lovato, Babyface, Vera Wang, Mario Lopez, Mark Ballas,  Ciara, Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz, Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough, Alan Thicke, Cheryl Burke, Melanie Brown, Maria Menounos, Sugar Ray Leonard, Serena Williams, Kathie Lee Gifford, Brittny Gastineau, Greta Van Susteren, Jillian Barberie, Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne, Scottie and Larsa Pippen, and  - the topper of them all?

The original-gangsta momager, Dina Lohan, and her illustrious offspring - Ali and Lindsay Lohan!

But Kris Jenner wouldn't want us all to live out our days without a front row seat at her OWN daughter's wedding.  That's why she and Ryan Seacrest are bringing us - Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event on Oct. 9th AND 10th!

C'mon, looky-loos! Keep up!

Rock the Perfect Red Lip

Red lips are hard to wear, because they so often look sloppy.
The secrets?
Lip liner, to create a clean and precise shape
and concealer to fix mistakes.

Here's a little walk-through:
1) Carefully line lips with a neutral or spice colored liner to create your shape
2) Using a lip brush (check my brush blog for suggestions), blend the lipliner into your lip so you don't have a harsh line
3) Use your brush to fill in with lipstick, starting from the inside of your lip out and blending into the liner.
4) Use concealer to clean up the outside, blend out into your face.
VOILA!!!! You are a scarlet lipped siren!
Stay Lovely!

Helen Mirren is Sexy

I am pleased to announce:
66 year old Helen Mirren has been voted as Body of the Year by the LA Fitness gym poll.
She beat out Elle Macpherson (who is 48) and Jennifer Lopez (42).
Blake Lively didn't even make the list. BUAHAHAHA!
"Helen Mirren's victory in our Best Body poll illustrates how, when it comes to body maintenance and well-being, age really is nothing but a number."

Covering Brows

Hello!!!!!
Covering brows is a makeup technique used by anyone who wants a totally blank canvas
to create a new eyebrow (for drag or for period makeup),
or to eliminate the eyebrow (think Lord Voldemort).
It is an excellent trick to be able to whip out, but it can be really tricky.
Ask Berit- my first several attempts were quite ridiculous.
However, with the right technique and some practice, the possibilities are endless!
Materials
1) brow cover- some options include:
modeling wax (like Mehron Modeling Putty)
eyebrow covering wax
the above available at costume supply stores
a non toxic glue stick
2) A good concealer
3) red lipstick
4) powder
How To:
1) Brush your brows through with a clean mascara spoolie to get all the hairs in order
2) Drag a brow covering product over your hairs.
Go in the direction of the hair, and make sure you are being smooth and thorough.
You don't want any hairs getting loose!
3) Tap some powder over it, and add another layer of product.
Do this until your brow is smoothly down.
Make sure to blend the product into your surrounding skin
4) Add some red lipstick over the hairs to counteract the blueness of the hairs, then powder
5) Use a flat brush an press concealer over the brows
6) Use a fluffy brush to pounce powder on top
7) HAVE FUN!

Twiggy Makeup

Twiggy's iconic makeup is notoriously difficult to copy,
because not all of us have those great round eyelids.
I love this picture because not only does it capture the awesomeness of her
(forgive my grammar),
but it also shows how she achieved those infamous doll eyes.
I shall certainly be copying soon!

ps. check those AMAZING EYEBROWS

INSANELY Cheap and INSANELY Wonderful Eyeshadow? YES PLEASE!!!

Hay there.
Now when I think of Wet'n'Wild
I think of the 1$ nail polishes I used to get with my allowance and a foundation I bought when I was 13 that made me look like I had vitiligo.

However, they recently underwent a major redesign
and their new eyes shadows are AMAZING.
When I say amazing, I don't mean "amazing for the price" I mean amazing period.

The pigmentation is beautiful, they last (a major drawback of most drugstore brands),
the colors are great (there are some great dupes for MAC colors),
they come in really well put together palettes, and they only cost 5$!!!!!!!!
JYEAAAAH!!!!
I'm loving the Color Icon Palettes

They come in different sets
Pride
Lust
Greed
Vanity
The best part is Wet n Wild is literally available everywhere,
so its super easy to get your hands on.
Run and get some!
Stay Lovely
