Mother's Day has a tendency to 'sneak up' on us, right? No matter how much we love our mums and how often we think of them - somehow the Mother's Day holiday comes along and catches all of us, well, empty-handed with no idea what to get the woman who started it all.
So here's a little helper. Get her jewelry instead of that last-minute flower delivery that costs more than starting your own nursery.
Yes, it's my business to talk up the jewelry world, and yes - you've often heard me blather on about how baubles are better gifts than sweater sets and perfume and the like. But, darn it! I'm right!
Jewelry is a lifetime treasure that just means more than a vase full of petals, people (no offense to flowers - you're lovely creatures - all of you).
To that end, I give you the KEY to Mother's Day.
It's trend-worthy (keys are a hot silhouette in celeb circles these days), it's mom-friendly (note, the Mother/Child design element) and it's budget-friendly ($49.95 on JewelClub's Daily Deal today).
Click on the picture for more details. And you can still get FREE SHIPPING in time for Mother's Day (which is MAY 8TH, MAY 8TH, MAY8TH). Did I mention Mother's Day is Sunday, May 8th?
And if Mom isn't a key kinda gal - here's a link to an entire Mother's Day Sample Sale for your ticket to her good side.
Have at it, jewelry hounds!

Hot Trend: Teething Jewelry

New moms, like myself, have reluctantly retired our everyday jewelry box items for a spell until our little ones are no longer apt to drool on the diamonds (or yank them from our necks, as the case may be). But mommy bloggers-turned-entrepreneurs are buzzing about a new jewelry trend that will bring the bling back to our post-baby lives - teething jewelry!
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

My favorite hails from Smart Mom Jewelry - a donut-shaped pendant that comes in every color of the rainbow (I'm partial to trendy turquoise for spring - especially with the $19.10 price tag). The 'smart moms' who started this company have a patent pending for the miracle gems and even have a cadre of celebs convinced - from Angela Basset to uber-mom, Tori Spelling.

Mother’s Day Jewelry on a Budget

Let’s face it. No one really wants to skimp on mom, but these days spending serious cash on the occasion is a lot harder than, say, sending a nice card and calling it good.

Even if sis gets her that sweater set she’s been eyeing or your youngest sib gives her a framed picture of himself on the golf course (attention whore that he is), nothing beats a tiny little box with a bow, right?
Nothing – except knowing you’re, say, saving over 60% off the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. Or that you now have the secret code to get this kind of savings on jewelry anytime for anyone – especially yourself.
Now, we’re talking.
JewelClub is a top-notch Friends and Family jewelry site that I’ve befriended that has access to a jewelry manufacturer’s dreamscape of fine jewelry at prices you can’t get anywhere else. Here’s how it works:
1. Visit: www.jewelclub.com
2. Enter the code: INSIDER at the prompt
3. Enter your email:
And let the blingy blood bath begin.

So if you want your loot in time for Mother’s Day, you have to order by May 3rd. Or you can opt for a faster shipping option for a few extra bucks.
It’s mom, people. She birthed you, put up with your awkward teen years and has an extra room in the house in case you lose your job.
Get on it.
